Spring Cards with Color

Hello fellow papercrafters.  I hope your day is going well and you are enjoying the warmer spring days we are having.  The new Taylored Expressions stamp and matching die "Rainboot Bouquet" is perfect for spring.  This first card is set against a background embossed with TE's embossing folder Dotted Lattice.  I paper pieced the boots by stamping on some polka dot paper and cutting out parts of the rainboots then gluing these pieces on to the die cut rainboots.Rainboot Hello Spring – Taylored Expressions stamp set Rainboot Bouquet; TE dies Rainboot Bouquet, Script Hello and Pocket & Pages April; Taylored Expressions embossing folder Dotted Lattice; design inspired by Jean Manis

Love the bright aqua and fuschia on this card.  I sponged light yellow over the background; added flowers with one of the Skinny Mini Spring Borders; and grounded the card with another of the Spring Borders.

Taylored Expressionshas some beautiful background stamps and their new Blooming Background is a great example.  It is fun to color and can be used for any occassion. I colored the first two cards with Copic markes and the third card with Zig Clean Color makers.  So pretty! Easter Cards

Every holiday has its icons, but who doesn't love the Easter Bunny in all his many forms including this fine sir.  Unfortunately he is retired, but I just could not resist pairing him with the jelly bean sentiment!  So cute!

Now for some newer bunnies.  Taylored Expressions new Skinny Mini Spring Borders features four dies: bunnies, birds, flowers and a chevron pattern.  I paired two of the borders with the Easter Wishes banner set, substituting the "Happy" from the TE Happy Birthday Banner die for the "Wishes."  Along the bottom of the card is a picket fence festooned with the flowers border, a bunny and a birdhouse.

For this next card I used a variety of dies -- some new, some old -- to create a pretty Easter scene.  The new Lattice Frame die from Taylored Expressions is available only through brick-and-mortar stores like The Stamp Act.  I used the Easter Wishes Banner again and cut the bunny from felt, dressing him up with a cute little bow.

This scene was created with the new TE Eventful Bunny die paired with a picket fence, clouds and trees.  Plus there are Easter eggs hiding in the grass!

Here I used the Eventful Border again, this time cutting it apart and nestling the pieces among the "hills" which were cut with the TE Rolling Stitched Clouds dies.  The sky was embossed with the TE Cloudy Days.

While you're decorating don't forget the front door!  This scene is full of spring colors and icons.  Love the polka dot rainboots sitting on the doorstep.
