Twist Pop Cards and Black Friday Promotions

Hello Friends and thanks for stopping by the Stamp Act blog today. One of the hot trends in card making today is the Twist and Pop Card. Recently one of my customers asked me to order the die to make the twisting mechanism which I was happy to do, however in researching the Twist card I found that they are easy to make with just cutting and scoring cardstock -- no expensive die necessary! Yeah!

The card (A2 size = 5½” x 4¼”) is top folding covered with decorative paper. I used a stamp set from Taylored Expressions called Falling For You and a banner die from Penny Black to decorate the front.

Inside the card (be sure to click on it for a larger view) I decorated the four panels with critters from TE's Calendar Critters set, pumpkin dies from Memory Box and a sentiment from TE's If Turkeys Could Talk stamp and die combo set.

The magic comes when these four panels pop out of the card! To show you that my friend Jane served as my assistant. Please know that my video skills are sorely lacking! Here's the video:

My next Twist and Pop card is a Christmas card starring the new critters from the Taylored Expressions set Deck the Halls.

On the inside I used more of the cute critters and more Christmas lights. Again, be sure to double click the image to view it larger.
