More Christmas Cards

Joy-to-the-WorldCan you believe Christmas will be here in about 2 weeks?  Yikes!  If you're still looking for Christmas card inspiration, I have some for you today.  Last week I showed you the Manger Luminaria (Impression Obsession Manger die) and today I have 2 cards made with the same die set. The card on the left is a very clean and simple one.  I die cut the image from gold metallic cardstock, scored it 3 times at the top and taped red cardstock behind the negative space.  I then taped it to a white card and added the sentiment (Penny Black die World of Wishes).  Inspiration for this sample is from Dina Kowal.

Silent-Night

The second card I made is a little larger (A6 or 4½“ x 6¼”) and the photo may not show it clearly but the manger extends beyond the card.  For this card I used Impression Obsession die Manger; Spellbinders die Petite Ovals; Background is Impression Obsession Cover-a-Card Wood Planks; sentiment by Penny Black; design inspired by Ellen Taylor

Cottage-LuminariaAnd then keeping with the luminaria theme, I made one with the Poppystamps Cute Cottage die. I hope you can see the Santa and reindeer above the house!  Here are the supplies I used for this 3D project:

Poppystamps dies Cute Cottage, Frosted Roof and Ledges and Leafy Garland; Taylored Expressions die On Dasher, On Dancer; Impression Obsession die Tags (Merry); designed inspired by Kay Miller

Hero-Holidays-3DHero Holidays 3D – Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Fancy Cuts Holidays; design inspired by Yana Smakula

For this really fast yet impressive card, simply die cut the Holidays from a white card with red inside.  Take the die cut word and mount it slightly offset for a 3D or drop shadow effect.  The stamp the holly leaves and berries, add some metal gems, and stamp the sentiment.  The Hero Arts set includes the words "Happy" and "Holidays" as well as many little stamps to go with them.

Hero-Winter-SparkleHero Winter Sparkle – Hero Arts Winter Sparkle Background stamp; Copic makers; design inspired by Nicole Parmentier

I absolutely love this card!  The stamp has all the words on it and you draw the lines and color!  How easy and relatively quick.  It's a very bright and colorful way to send holiday greetings.

Texas-Howdy

For the Texas fans on your holiday list, send a Texas size greeting using dies and stamp from Deadbeat Designs (DD).  DD sells a Texas Flag die in a larger size; I adapted the flag design to one of their smaller Texas dies and added the Santa hat.  How Fun!

Texas Howdy – Deadbeat Designs die Texas Trio; Memory Box die Holiday Hats; sentiment by Deadbeat Designs

Pine-Spruce-Peace-Doves

I love to play with unconventional color themes for holiday cards.  Here I've chosen teal, white and silver.  Very pretty!

Pine Spruce Peace Doves – Memory Box dies Frosted Pine Tree, Frosted Spruce Tree and Peace Doves; sentiment by Hero Arts; design inspired by Deborah Nolan
