This “Ray of Sunshine” die from Taylored Expressions has been hanging around here forever. I finally found time to play with it and discovered how versatile this die is! It lends itself to lots of different sentiments and designs including using it as a stencil.
Under the Weather – OK, white cards always get lost in the white background -- sorry! Spellbinders die Pinking Circles; Impression Obsession die Sun and Moon; Taylored Expressions Cloud Border; My Favorite Things clear stamp set Get Well Wishes; Sizzix embossing folder; Paper Smooches clear stamp set Alfresco (face on sun); My Mind’s Eye The Sweetest Thing Honey paper pad; designer: Shannon White
Stencil Sunshine and Blue Skies – For these cards I die cut the Ray of Sunshine die from chipboard and used it as a stencil. I applied Memento inks (Dandelion, Cantaloupe and Tangelo) with a jumbo dauber (or you could use the new round Ink Blending Tool). The sentiments are from My Favorite Things clear stamp set Get Well Wishes.
The end of summer is a very busy time for everyone with last minute vacations, back-to-school shopping and summer chores like gardening. For these reasons I am not posting any specific classes but please remember that you can always request a class covering any of the cards I post. So get a jump on Halloween and Christmas or learn more about stamping and die-cutting by scrolling through previous posts and selecting a few cards you’d like to make. Call me (915-833-9500) and we will discuss the specifics. Thanks!
