Christmas Cards
August 26, 2014
It's time to start thinking (and making) Christmas cards so here are some ideas.
I love this new Merry Background stamp. It is a bold stamp so I inked it in black on white cardstock then embossed it in black. Then I added color to the words using the new round ink blending tool or jumbo daubers and Memento or Hero Arts inks. The color on the blue card didn't photograph well -- it's a lot prettier in person. Quick and easy and colorful! And the new Curled Ribbons die is fabulous -- it really adds the perfect touch!

Merry Background 3 – All from Memory Box: Merry Background stamp, Cabrini Ornament die, Curled Ribbons die, script stamp; Designer: Jean Okimoto
Merry Background 2 – All from Memory Box: Merry Background stamp and Pine Border Background die; Designer: Jean Okimoto
This is even easier. Ink stamp in Versamark and emboss in white on red cardstock. Cut out and layer with colorful papers and the Pine Tree Background die.
Pink Ornament – Memory Box dies Cabrini Ornament and Curled Ribbons; Sizzix embossing folder Christmas Words; Designer: Jean Okimoto
Cut the ornament and curled ribbons from gold mirror card then inlay the pink ornament and green leaves and berries. Mount on an embossed background, add a few sequins and you're done!
Silver Snowflake – All from Memory Box: Dazzling Snowflake die; Merry Christmas stamp; silver glitter paper; Designer: Pam Sparks
This photo makes the snowflake look like an embossed stamp, but it is actually a die cut snowflake that's mounted over silver glitter paper. Just emboss the sentiment in silver!
Christmas Door – Poppystamps die Grand Madison Window; Memory Box die Plush Bow; Savvy Stamps die Holly Leaves; Sizzix embossing folder Christmas Words; Designer: Jean Manis
Ok, this one takes a little longer but what a cute card!
We've got lots more ideas for Christmas so stop in soon and see what's new!
