New -- Classes on Demand

Many of my classes lately have been "on demand" meaning I give the class at a time that's convenient for you.  Listed below are some class ideas that you can choose from -- just give me a call (915-833-9500) and we will make it happen when it's good for you.  I prefer to give classes on Saturday or during the day, but if early evening suits you better, that's good too.  Setting up for classes takes many. many hours so please call at least 2 to 3 days ahead.  If you have a specific technique you would like to learn just ask!

Garden-Fronds-Cottage-LeafClass: Die Cutting 101 and Much More!

Are you getting the most out of your dies?  Would you like a review of the basics as well as instructions on how to emboss a die; emboss a stencil; make a shaped card from any die; create a window in a card then frame the opening; and much more?  Beginners and experienced papercrafters will learn a lot from this class.  If you are interested in this class just give me a call and we will schedule a time that’s good for you.  You will bring your own die cutting machine and plates.  The card on the left is one I designed to show lots of techniques including: cutting, coloring, embossing a stencil and coloring a stenciled image.

This card was created with: Memory Box stencil Garden Fronds; Memory Box die Cottage Leaf; Poppystamps Classic Ribbons; Little B Butterfly stickers; Penny Black clear stamp set Friendship.

Texas-Flag-die-cardClass: New Mexico versus Texas – Let’s make cards honoring both states.  New Texas dies and images from Deadbeat Designs versus the cute Southwest stamps/dies from Paper Smooches (see samples above).  All these cards are great “guy” cards!  If you prefer to make just the Southwest cards or just the Texas cards – no problem.

Bare-Oak-Tree-smClass: Father’s Day/Masucline Cards – Learn how to create a background using jumbo daubers and the new round ink blending tool.  It’s fun and easy plus you can use this technique on any card.  See the Chili Ristra above?  Same technique!  Bring a round ink blending tool and at least 5 foam pads.

Honeycomb-GenevaA Dozen Techniques with Stencils – Stencils are hot right now so learn how to use them to their fullest.  From simple and easy to more elaborate and stunning, these inexpensive plastic templates hold a world of possibilities.  Add depth and texture to your cards with stencils!

Give me a call (915-833-9500) or email ( for classes and please stop in and see what's new in the store. Have a great week!
