Keep your resolution to start stamping Christmas cards early this year by coming to one of our "Christmas in July" classes on Saturday, July 30. These classes will provide lots of motivation and creative ideas! In our 10am class, we will use one set of stamps from Our Craft Lounge to create 2 cards and a tag using Copic markers, glitter and snow plus colorful papers. Here are the other samples in that class:
I hope you can join us for these classes. For more informaiton on these and other classes, please visit our website at www.stampactelpaso.com and go to the July class page, or give me a call at 915-833-9500.
More Christmas in July ....
I have been making lots of Christmas samples so let me share some of them with you.
Our Craft Lounge -- Penguin Fun
The Cat's Pajamas -- making multiple cards
I find that with one or two sets of stamps and some Christmas papers, I can come up with one design then make multiple cards easily. It's quick and because they are different images, you don't get as bored stamping the same thing over and over. Plus this would make a lovely gift set for someone.
The Cat's Pajamas -- "Wish List"
Is this the cutest? I was inspired by one I saw on the TCP blog. It uses just a few stamps, but has a huge impact because of color and design. This would be great to give to family members in the fall (or now!) so you can get a head start on christmas shopping.
Inky Antics "Honey Pop" Card
For a card with lots of "wow!" I die cut cardstock with the Spellbinders Christmas Tree die then cut the die in half (vertically) to make a template. I traced the template on the honeycomb paper (ivory and brown), cut it out and glued it into the inside fold of the card. Really easy! Try this one -- you will love how it looks!
From the elegance of the gold swirly tree embellished with a beautiful poinsettia to the whimsical fun of penguins playing in the snow, whatever your taste we can help you design a Christmas card. And don't forget to add those fun extra touches like snow, glitter and self-adhesive metal decor. Of course die cuts really add the perfect touch to your cards too!
And speaking of dies. This card was created using the new Memory Box rosette die. The paper is from Pink Paislee and the snowflakes are from Spellbinders' Snowflake Wonder and Create-a-Flake-2. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. This is a really beautiful card that is easily "mass produced."
I have even more Christmas cards to share with you but that's enough for now! As many of you know, CHA Summer just took place and lots of new products were annouced. Here are some items that will be coming to The Stamp Act soon:
Memory Box -- Gorgeous dies, stamps and papers for all the fall holidays (early August)
Impression Obsession -- lots of cool stamps including many more Cover-a-Card background stamps (early August)
Penny Black -- new stamps both beautiful and whimsical (early September)
Hero Arts -- new stamps and this year they added dies! Watch for these to arrive in early August and September
Just Rite -- One of their new Halloween sets is already here and another should be arriving very soon.
Please stop in soon and see all these samples and many more in person. Join us for the holiday classes! Thanks!
