Inky Antics “Honey Pop” Dimensional Cards
Shabby Chic Cards and Vintage Floral Artist Trading Cards

Stair Step and Shutter Cards

Step up your cardmaking with this fun class (Saturday, July 2 at 2pm). We will make two cards using the new Inner and Outer Stair Step pre-scored cards. These cards come in a package of 10 cards (with envelopes), 2 each of 5 bright colors. Learn how to easily decorate and embellish these cards which will surely impress! To decorate the "Inner Stairs" card, we will use die cut flowers from felt and a Friendship clear stamp set from Impression Obsession. The Happy Birthday card is a sample of the "Outer Stairs" pre-scored card. Most of the stamps I used are from Hero Arts. The polka-dotted tag is from Impression Obsession. These cards easily fold down to a typical A2 card size (4¼" x 5½").

Shutter Card with Presentation Box

This is "over-the-top" colorful card is sure to make everyone smile! Its bright colors and fun design will make this accordion-fold card a wonderful home dec piece for the summer. I used papers from Kaisercraft's Bubblegum Hills collection (6" x 6" paper pad) and stamps and dies cuts from The Cat's Pajamas, a few dies from Spellbinders, and two border punches from Martha Stewart. In addition to making the card we will make a presentation box (for the card) complete with pinwheel that turns! This class will be Saturday, July 9 from 10am to 3pm with a break for lunch. I hope you will join us!

Just Because it's Summer!

Summer is here and although in the Southwest that means high heat with no break for months, I am trying to concentrate on the good parts of summer like lots of fresh fruit. My apple tree is filled with apples and occasionally I spy one or two half eaten apples casually tossed on the backyard lawn by the friendly squirrel who lives there! My pear tree is also filled with small yellow green pears and I can't wait for August when I can bite into the sweet, juicy fruit! YUMMY!

While I wait for the real fruit to ripen, I made cards this week with new "Berrylicious" papers from Imaginisce. I gathered all my fruit stamps, sayings and dies and went crazy with these cute and colorful papers. For the "Cherry Day" card, the sentiment is from Copper Leaf Creations and the cherries die cut is from Spellbinders.
