Classes Start This Saturday -- Coloring Bold Stamps!

Flower-brid-garden
Layered-Embossing

Saturday, March 5 from 10am to noon, we will turn the old tune “Accentuate the Positive” on its head as we use Hero Arts new "Flower Bird Garden" bold stamp and color the negative spaces three different ways.  First, we’ll emboss the image and color it with creamy pearl paint that we make ourselves.  Second, we’ll use a technique called layered Embossing to add depth and color the image with Distress inks. Finally, we will give the stamp a tone-on-tone look using colorful inks, matching colored papers and a few circle punches.  Learn how to work with bold stamps in this creative and colorful class!

I hope you will come to class and learn these fun and easy techniques.  Expand your stamping knowledge and get more out of your stamps and supplies!  Call Polly at 833-9500 or email me (hellopolly@aol.com) by Friday at noon to register.

Paper Racks on Sale at The Stamp Act

Hi stamping friends.  The move is almost finished and I can’t wait for you to see our “new” store.  We have already had a small class and discovered a few issues – lighting and electricity among them.  My contractor installed an electrical outlet right where we needed one and for lighting I purchased several “Daylight” lamps for the tables.  These lamps deliver the right mix of brightness and contrast that lets you see colors and details with ease.  Plus they have unique low heat, low glare illumination that helps reduce eyestrain.  Let me know if you need one for your stamping studio!

What’s New with the Sale?

Paper-rack-12x12 Our sale on stamps, papers, embellishments and more continues and probably will on select items for some time.  We will be moving some of the paper racks into the new space, but not all which means you have the chance to buy paper racks for your stamping space.  The racks are approximately 67” tall.  The racks that hold the 8½” x 11” cardstock are 28½” wide, 67” tall with 90 slots; the ones that hold 12” x 12” paper have 60 slots and are 26¾” wide, 67” tall and 10½” deep.  They regularly cost over $200 each plus freight and I am selling them for $50.  Please let me know ASAP if you’re interested.

Single-12-rack I have a few single paper racks (for both 12” x 12” and 8½” x 11”) which I may sell once the final move is finished.  These are approximately 13"W x 11"D x 57"H and will be offered at $75.

I also have pieces of white laminate slatwall that are fantastic for shelving and organization.  If you need any drop in by Sunday and see what I have.  Even small pieces can come in very handy!  I have all the shelves and brackets that you will need for storing all your stamping goodies!

Our New "Slimmed Down" Store is Open for Business!

The store is open!!!!!

We are squeezing into our original space (half the space we have had) and while it is going to be cozy for us all, the store will remain open and we will have classes.  Most of the fixtures that will remain have been moved and arranged to see if we like the fit.  I am sure there will be some tweeking going on for a while.  Please come give us your opinion!  Walk around, see if the aisles are wide enough and browse the bargains!

Inventory 50% off at least

All remaining inventory is still priced to sell at a 50% discount at least – many items are reduced to rock bottom prices of just a few dollars.  Tombow markers are priced at $1.50 (regularly $3.50) and all re-inkers are just a $1.  Make a list of your inkpads and come in and get the re-inkers – you’ll never find them cheaper!  Many, many stamps are priced at just a few dollars.  And all dies remain at 30% off.

New Inventory Arriving Now

Just because we are selling our current inventory at a substantial discount, doesn’t mean we won’t have brand new merchandise arriving all the time!  We have new orders arriving from Hero Arts, Penny Black, Spellbinders, Just Rite, Deadbeat Designs (wonderful Texas Stamps), and Impression-Obsession.  Even in out slimmed down space we will still bring you the latest and greatest from the stamping world.

One of the hottest trends in stamping right now if stamps that coordinate with Spellbinders dies.  You can stamp and die cut for a very professional and polished look.  We are looking for the best stamps to bring you and some will be from Just Rite – they are really gorgeous!

Fixtures for Sale

Rustic-table     I have paper racks, stamp display cases and many other fixtures for sale (cheap!!) so if you’re interested stop in this week or early next week.  Everything must go by the 28th.  I will post more pictures of fixtures tomorrow.
