Christmas Cards Galore-- Sat, December 11, 2-4pm

Mittens It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and if you have “stamp Christmas cards” on your “To Do” list, you can check it off by attending our class this Saturday afternoon.  We will use a variety of stamps, techniques, embellishments and dies to create cards from cute to colorful to charming!

For this card I die cut two mittens using the new Spellbinders Mittens die then made the cuffs with one of the scallopped squares dies.  The snowflakes are punched.  The mittens are mounted on dies cut squares and the sentiment (isn't it perfect!) is from the Hero Arts Everyday Sayings set.  The background paper is from Graphic 45 Christmas Past collection.

Here are the other samples from the class:

This card combines two Hero Arts cling stamps: the music background and the ornament.  I stamped the ornament in Versafine Crimson Red and Versafine Olympia Green and embossed them in detail clear powder (Judikins).  I then stamped the ornament again with gold Encore ink and embossed it in gold detail powder (Judikins).  I cut them out and mounted them on the music background (also stamped in Crimson Red) and added gold cording and bows.  The Rejoice sentiment is from Impression Obsession.

This card is copied from Becca Feeken's card when the new Spellbinders Snowflake Pendant was debuted in the summer.  I die cut the snowflake pendant from a piece of white stardream cardstock cut 4" square.  I also die cut the smaller center snowflake and the corner pieces (which are actually from a circle piece then cut into four triangular corners.  I mounted this snowflake over a piece of text weight blue stardream papr then mounted the image on a white stardream folded card.  Simple yet very striking.

Let me show you some other Christmas card samples I have made recently.

Snowflake-Pendant-3 For both these cards I added a stamped centerpiece using the Just Rite Stampers set "Merry Little Christmas."

Hero Arts Cling Ornament Stamp

Ornament-Joy Ornament-Pink

For the "Joy" card I used the Penny Black Robust Alphabet and cut out the "J" and the "Y."  I used the Hero Arts music background and the ornament stamp is embossed in silver.  The background on the pink card above is from Hero Arts, also.  The gold and silver card on the left is a real beauty -- my friend Susan Benson brought the ornament stamp and this gorgeous flourish stamp from Impression Obsession to the cash register and as soon as I saw them I saw this card!  It turned out so well!  And of course it would look equally pretty in a dozen different colors schemes!  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hero Arts.
